Aaron Rodgers isn’t an old man by most standards, but he’s getting there in terms of quarterback longevity.
Still, he has a ways to go before he reaches the two quarterbacks squaring off in tonight’s NFC Divisional Playoff bout. Drew Brees and Tom Brady, both on the far side of 42 years old after Brees’ birthday on Friday, lead their teams this evening with one of them earning a trip to the NFC Championship Game.
For all of Brees’ successes and statistics, he has participated in just three conference championships in his career, doing so after the 2006, 2009, and 2018 seasons. We do not need to address Brady’s accolades or postseason successes with the New England Patriots in this space, but it would be notable if he leads the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to that point in his first season with the team.
Join us throughout the game here as we see which team and which old guy will earn a trip to Lambeau Field for next week’s NFC Championship against the Green Bay Packers.
