Aaron Jones is questionable to return with a chest injury after fumbling on the Packers’ first drive of the second half.
Jones made his way gingerly to the sideline after a big hit by Jordan Whitehead dislodged the football from Jones’ grasp. The Buccaneers recovered and scored on their next play from scrimmage, extending their lead to 28-10.
It was the second time Whitehead had forced a fumble by Jones. In the first half, Jones lost the ball after Whitehead made solid contact near the sideline. Robert Tonyan recovered and the Packers went on to collect a field goal on the drive.
Jones had only fumbled twice so far this season prior to today. The first came against the Vikings in Week 1, while the second came against the Jaguars in Week 10. The Packers recovered both.
Jones hasn’t found much in the way of sustained success on the ground against Tampa Bay’s stout front, though he hasn’t had many opportunities either. On six carries, Jones has gained 27 yards. He’s also added seven yards on four catches.
