Bills face Titans in week 6 Monday Night Football matchup

Two of the AFC’s better teams take the field tonight in a game that could have playoff positioning impacts.

This evening, one of the NFL’s best rushing attacks from the past several years faces the league’s top defense against the run and overall this season to close out week six on Monday Night Football.

The Tennessee Titans continue to rank among the NFL’s best rushing teams this season, thanks in large part to Derrick Henry’s dominance on the ground. However, the Titans have ranked as one of the worst passing offenses in the league this season, sitting just 28th in net yards per attempt and 27th in total passing yardage.

That’s not a good recipe against a Buffalo Bills team that is number one in the NFL in most defensive categories, from DVOA to points and yards allowed to turnovers forced. The Bills’ defense is lapping the field in many categories this year, managing to have the fewest passing yards against in the league (just 173 yards per game) despite opponents having the 13th-most pass attempts against them.

Since dropping a surprising 23-16 loss to Pittsburgh in week one, the Bills have won each of their last four games by at least 18 points, with two shutouts among those games. Even last week, they forced four turnovers out of the Kansas City Chiefs, embarrassing them 38-20 at Arrowhead Stadium as they dominated a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game.

And that’s not even mentioning the Bills offense, which has scored the most points in the NFL and is surprisingly balanced between the run and the pass. So tube in for what could be an exciting offensive display between these two AFC contenders.
