4:00 PM Eastern Time today is a notable moment for teams across the NFL, the Green Bay Packers included. This afternoon marks the league’s trade deadline, the final opportunity for teams to spin off pieces of their roster for draft pick compensation or to acquire pieces for a second-half run without having to deal with waivers or free agency.

The Green Bay Packers are certainly in position to be buyers, as they sit atop the NFC with a 7-1 record. And although there are a few specific positions on the roster where they could use some help, this team seems well-situated already to make a deep playoff run.

One reason for that is that the team is finally starting to get some of its key players back from injury. Two receivers who missed last week’s win in Arizona are expected back during the week, while another who has been on injured reserve for several weeks looks on track to play against the Chiefs on Sunday as well. The team also looks poised to finally see left tackle David Bakhtiari return from rehabbing his torn ACL.

So even if the team doesn’t make any additions via trade today, the reinforcements are on their way anyway. But just in case, keep it here at APC all day today in case any trade news does take place.

Thanks to a few extra days off, Green Bay was back at practice on Monday and showing good signs of progress on the injury front. MVS and David Bakhtiari were back, and Allen Lazard was cleared off the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Packers could go from zero to all three top WRs if Davante Adams is cleared - ESPN
With two of the three back, the Packers also hope to see Davante Adams get cleared later this week to bring the team back up to full strength. That would come just in time for a potential shootout in Kansas City.

With the Packers in KC on Sunday, hopefully these headset issues are a Giants problem, not something that's going on for visiting teams at Arrowhead Stadium.

As far as I'm concerned, there are two notable places to consider: tight end and defensive line.

Although Patrick Surtain II earns top billing at cornerback, Eric Stokes is justifiably listed as the runner-up on this squad.

Pet monkey of Texas football coach allegedly attacks kid trick-or-treating | Fansided
The headline is a bit misleading, and the truth is even more ludicrous: the monkey actually belongs to the coach’s girlfriend, a former stripper who was once on the Jerry Springer Show,. The alleged biting situation isn't funny, but everything else about this story falls in the "truly bizarre" category and sounds like it was created as a Mad Lib.
