Happy Friday, Packers fans.
It has been a WEEK hasn’t it? We’re all Rodgers’d out after news broke Wednesday the three-time MVP would be sidelined this week after testing positive for COVID-19.
Then we all had to debate “vaccinated” versus “immunized” and watched occasionally mindless debate fill our social media feeds. Not even a week after what should have been a season defining victory over the Arizona Cardinals, the entire narrative of the 2021 season has changed.
So rather than go through and recap all that stuff, how about a Rodgers-free zone and focus on some good news in Packer Nation in this edition of cheese curds?
The Packers get their best receiver back while a Green Bay inside linebacker (!!!) wins a major monthly award. See, it isn't all gloom and doom in Green Bay!
Having Davante Adams back would be huge for Jordan Love in his first career start. Assessing the young quarterback during the preseason was tough because he wasn’t playing with the starters. Having Adams on the field would be a great security blanket.
Packers will have Jordan Love’s back this Sunday—Packers.com
As someone who has defended and continues to defend Love’s selection by the Packers, Sunday’s outcome could actually dictate the path the franchise will take in 2022 and beyond. The team will do whatever it takes for Love to succeed as QB1.
Packers LB De’Vondre Campbell named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October—Packers Wire
A Packers defender winning a monthly award? Hell really is freezing over. All jokes aside, this is a well deserved accolade for general manager Brian Gutekunst’s best signing of the offseason.
Former Packers, Badgers surprise patients at Madison VA hospital—Channel 3000
How about some heartwarming news? Good on these guys to visit some of our veterans during this very difficult time?
‘Amazing’ Dogs Work Together To Save Owner Who Collapsed—Huffington Post
Tissue alert. Dogs, man. What did we ever do to deserve them?
