Even with a loss yesterday to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers remain in firm control of the NFC North division. At 7-2, the Packers can have no less than a three-game lead in the North after week nine, thanks to an impressively poor slate of teams joining them.
The Minnesota Vikings sit at 3-5 after an overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon, while the Detroit Lions remain winless at 0-8. The fourth team in the division, the Chicago Bears, enter week 9 at 3-5 with their game coming on Monday Night Football this evening.
Tonight, the Bears will face the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are currently in position to hold a Wild Card spot in the AFC with a 4-3 record. They can plant themselves squarely in the 5 or 6 seed conversation with a win tonight, which would keep them in second place in the AFC North, but a loss would push them into last place in the division and a half-game back of the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.
Join us this evening to see which of these teams is able to emerge with a victory.
