When the Green Bay Packers suit up against the Detroit Lions on Monday night, both teams will have some important game-time decisions to make. The two teams released their injury reports on Saturday and each has ruled multiple starters as questionable.

For the Packers, those players are safety Darnell Savage and left guard Lucas Patrick. Both players were injured late in the Packers’ week one loss to the New Orleans Saints, with Savage hurting his shoulder and Patrick suffering a concussion. Each player should have a chance to suit up on Monday, however, with them both practicing on a limited basis on Saturday.

The Packers have two other players listed on the final injury report as well. Safety Vernon Scott is out with a hamstring injury and will miss his second straight game to start the season, while tight end/H-back Josiah Deguara is doubtful with a concussion of his own. These injuries are in addition to edge rusher Za’Darius Smith, whom the team placed on injured reserve on Friday with back issues, and defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery, who will be away from the team after reportedly testing positive for COVID-19 during the week. (Note: Montgomery, like the rest of the Packers’ coaching staff, is reportedly vaccinated.)

For Detroit, two players are out with concussions: starting wide receiver Tyrell Williams and defensive end Kevin Strong. The team also has four starters listed as questionable: running back D’Andre Swift, defensive end Michael Brockers, edge rusher Trey Flowers, and wideout Kalif Raymond. Each of those players did practice on Saturday, however, with Swift participating fully despite a groin issue.

If Swift’s workload is limited, however, that could mean more work for former Packer Jamaal Williams. Williams was also a full participant in Saturday’s practice after being limited on Thursday and Friday with a chest issue, but he carries no injury status on the final report. His return to Lambeau Field should be an entertaining one at the very least, as the fan favorite is back in Green Bay for the first time after leaving the Packers in free agency over the offseason.

Here are the full injury reports for both teams.
