NFL Week 3 Sunday Schedule & Discussion: Bucs & Rams battle for early NFC lead

On Sunday in week three, the NFC will take center stage. Sunday Night Football’s matchup between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers is a great early-season contest, but there is arguably an even more intriguing game in the late afternoon.

That game will be on local FOX affiliates across most of the US as the Los Angeles Rams play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Those two teams are among the betting favorites to represent the conference in the Super Bowl and they have both started out hot at 2-0.

With Matthew Stafford under center, the Rams’ offense has been excellent so far. Stafford leads the NFL in yards per completion with over 15, while the Rams are second in the NFL in points per offensive drive. The Buccaneers, meanwhile, lead the NFL in scoring, though they have committed five turnovers through two games.
