What Is The Goal For This Packers Team?

Did you know that since 2010 the Green Bay Packers have had top seven Super Bowl Odds all but two times? (2019 and 2020, where they would go 13-3 in both seasons). The expectation, the goal, is always the Super Bowl in Green Bay.

And after seven weeks it is hard to sell yourself on that expectation to say the least. As Packers fans, what do you want this to strive for at this point? Is it time to strive for the 7th seed in the NFC or is it time to just move on from this era of Packers football? Do they wash this season and welcome Rodgers with open arms if decides to come back next season?

The Packers’ upcoming schedule goes: Bills, Lions, Cowboys, Titans, Eagles

If the Packers want to keep their playoff hopes realistic they will need to go 3-2 or 2-3 during this stretch to keep themselves around .500 at 6-6 or 5-7. Assuming the Lions would be one of those three wins, most will find getting two wins against the other four teams very unlikely.

It is more likely this team is 4-8 after that stretch, putting them in position to need to "Run The Table" for just a slight chance of making the playoffs.

Maybe the team kicks it into gear and they start competing with the contenders, but we just saw the team go 0-3 in a stretch that they absolutely needed to go 3-0 in.

If it is time for the post-Rodgers era next season there should be some form of excitement. No expectations, first round quarterback with 3 years of sitting behind Rodgers. There’s a chance the new era sucks but they might be overrunning the current era if this is how they are operating.
