When it came to picking the Al Fabbri Award winner, the Friends of Staten Island Football Committee didn’t have to spend more than a minute selecting the winner. The unanimous choice was Curtis senior Sam Martin, who played on both sides of the ball and even on special teams and was a major contributor wherever he played. "He was a force to be reckoned with," declared Bill D’Ambrosio, who is on the Friends of S.I. Football Committee. "There was no doubt that we all thought he the best football player on Staten Island.
