The Packers' bye week arrived at an ideal moment

+

In 2022, the Packers made an unconventional choice by forgoing the typical early bye week that NFL teams receive after playing in London. Instead, they were granted a week 14 bye. This decision proved to be disastrous. Aaron Rodgers suffered a thumb injury during the overseas loss to the Giants, leading to the Packers losing their subsequent four games and six of their next seven. Fast forward a year, and with two consecutive losses in the first season following Rodgers' departure, Green Bay's recent early bye week couldn't have come at a more opportune moment. While there were several positives to build upon from their 2-1 start, the last two outcomes—a lopsided defeat to the Lions and a frustrating loss to the Raiders—have served as a stark reminder for this youthful team.
