Player Prop Bets vs. Chargers: We’re going streaking!

Packers receiver Dontayvion Wicks continues to impress in his streak of overs. Let’s keep it going.

Today the LA Chargers will enter Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. There are a few interesting player prop bets over at DraftKings for this game. The Chargers offense is humming along and the unsung hero of the Packers’ receiving corps continues to surpass expectations.

Bet 1: Justin Herbert under 34.5 pass attempts (+100)

Justin Herbert has thrown either 30 or 40 passes every game for the last four. This averages out to be 35 per game over that stretch. In last week’s shootout with the Detroit Lions, Herbert had one of his 40 pass games. This week, the Chargers are expected to need less out of their young quarterback as the Joe Barry defense continues to allow copious amounts of yardage from opposing backfields. Austin Ekeler is expected to have the most rushing yards of anyone in this matchup. This should help alleviate some of Herbert’s passing volume, and allow his pass attempts to stay under 35.

Bet 2: Dontayvion Wicks over 1.5 receptions (-160)

Another week means another time Dontayvion Wicks should hit his over. Last week he was given an over/under of 12.5 yards. Readers were urged to look at his alternate over of 25+ for better odds and he almost hit that mark on his first catch. The streak has maintained for several weeks and today should be no different. The Chargers are allowing 291.2 passing yards per game which puts them firmly at the bottom of the league in passing defense. Wicks should be expected to be looked at by Jordan Love many times as Christian Watson struggles with catch percentage while being given double teams.

Expecting two catches out of Dontayvion Wicks at this point should be considered routine. Expecting his streak of hitting the over to continue, even more so.
