Arguably the biggest game of the NFL’s 2023 regular season kicks off tonight. Monday Night Football has been relegated to more and more of an afterthought in recent years, at least in terms of getting the biggest matchups, but this week, the final time slot features a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl.
Yes, the Eagles and Chiefs play each other tonight about nine months after they met in Super Bowl LVII, with the Chiefs winning a thrilling 38-35 victory to claim their third Super Bowl title and their second in four years. Tonight’s game will not have nearly the same stakes as that last meeting, but it remains an opportunity for both teams to stake a claim as the Super Bowl favorites just after the midpoint of the 2023 season.
These two teams come into the week holding the top spot in their respective conferences. Regardless of what happens tonight, the Eagles will stay as the #1 seed in the NFC, but a loss would drop the Chiefs down below the Baltimore Ravens and into the 2nd spot in the AFC.
Here’s how to tune in for tonight’s game, as well as a look at the picks for this game from our contributors here at APC.
