On Friday, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur announced that running back Aaron Jones (knee) will be out against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football this week. Jones is dealing with an MCL sprain that occurred two weeks ago against the Los Angeles Chargers and has yet to return to practice since the injury. With Jones out, the running back room should be made up of AJ Dillon and Patrick Taylor, with the potential of a practice squad call-up for either James Robinson or Ellis Merriweather. Dillon is working through a groin injury, which he played with during the Detroit Lions game last week, but should be good to go for Sunday.

The only player listed doubtful for the Packers this week was cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring), who is still technically on the injured reserve. At the moment, Green Bay has two open 53-man roster spots with Stokes and safety Darnell Savage looking to come off the IR.

Savage, cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder), inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell (neck), tight end Josiah Deguara (hip), safety Rudy Ford (biceps/groin), receiver Jayden Reed (chest), cornerback Robert Rochell (calf) and receiver Dontayvion Wicks (knee) are all questionable for the game.

Deguara, Campbell, Alexander and Ford all missed last week’s game against the Lions with their current injuries. Wicks was inactive, too, but was in the concussion protocol — which he has now cleared.

Apparently, Reed is dealing with a chest injury that flared up against the Chargers — which means he played through the injury last week. Reed was a non-participant in the first two practices of the week but was a limited participant on Friday. Hopefully, we get some good news about the questionable players on Sunday.

On the Chiefs’ end of the injury report, running back Jerrick McKinnon is questionable for the game. Starting off-ball linebacker Nick Bolton, who is currently on the injured reserve, was listed out — meaning he won’t be activated for Sunday’s action.
