Player Prop Bets vs Giants: Taking the Over on Overs

Expect receiver Dontayvion Wicks to continue his streak and lots of rushing yards

NFL: Green Bay Packers at New York Giants Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The DraftKings player prop bets for this week have a lot of interesting options. This is the first time in quite a while that more than two have jumped out while looking them all over. The Green Bay Packers will be without a few key players and the New York Giants have shown a strong streak that could help.

Bet 1: Dontayvion Wicks over 2.5 receptions (-130)

If you’ve been following along for the last two months, this should come as no surprise. We have seen Wicks go over his receptions line every game for the last seven games in which he’s appeared. His yardage number continues to creep up, as this week’s over/under is set at 32.5.

Christian Watson is out. Luke Musgrave is out. Those targets need to go somewhere. Malik Heath only got two in the last game. Wicks still isn’t playing a huge percentage of snaps, but he is getting targeted regularly when he’s on the field. Expect the over streak to continue!

Bet 2: AJ Dillon over 63.5 rushing yards (-115)

Aaron Jones has been reported as out. This means that it is once again the AJ Dillon show in the backfield. In fact, the Packers' social media team is leaning into it. They made a “Quadzilla” meme earlier in the week.

The Giants’ rush defense is just this side of atrocious. They’ve only held teams under 100 rushing yards twice so far this year and allowed over 200 yards to the Dolphins. AJ Dillon doesn’t have to be spectacular to go over this total. He just has to be the average running back to face the Giants. New York defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence is listed as questionable as well, but his status is still up in the air. Should he be held out, this makes betting on Dillon early all the better.

Bet 3: Saquon Barkley over 69.5 rushing yards (-115)

Saquon is not playing at 100% due to coming off a high ankle sprain; however, he is still the engine that drives the Giants’ offense. With backup QB Tommy DeVito remaining the starter, Barkley should get plenty of opportunity. The Packers’ defense continues to give up great performances to opposing backs. This all adds up to an expectation of hitting the over.
