The Green Bay Packers announced that running back Aaron Jones and wide receiver Christian Watson were selected as the 2023 recipients of the Tom Mulhern 2023 Stand-Up Guy Award co-winners.

The award is given by the Green Bay chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America for “exemplary professionalism in helping pro football writers covering the Green Bay Packers do their jobs.”

According to Packers writer Wes Hodkiewicz, Jones has played with 10 of the 12 Packers players who have received the award, which includes Kenny Clark (2018, 2022) and David Bakhtiari (2017).

“This is an honor. I get to join some other great names who are Packer greats on that list,” Jones said of receiving the award. “This is going right up on my stand next to my other trophies and my mom is gonna be excited to see this one, too.”

It’s been a big year for Jones, who was also nominated by the team for the NFL’s Salute to Service Award as well as the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.

Watson is the first second-year player to have received the award, and takes pride in being able to “help others and communicate with others”.

The list of previous winners, going back to 2014, can be found here.
