NFL Week 18 Saturday: Game picks and details for AFC doubleheader

Winner is in, loser is out. That’s the situation in tonight’s Colts-Texans matchup.

Today, the NFL begins its final weekend of the 2023 regular season with a pair of AFC matchups that have some significant bearing on which teams will claim the conference’s Wild Card playoff spots. Three of the teams in action today are fighting for the final two spots, while the fourth has already locked up the #1 overall seed in the game.

Early on, the Pittsburgh Steelers will play the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens with Pittsburgh needing a win to give themselves a chance to play next week. Pracitcally speaking, Pittsburgh needs to win this afternoon, but they would also need one of the Bills or Jaguars to lose or for tonight’s game between AFC South teams to end in a tie.

That game pits the Colts and Texans against one another, and provided the game does not end in a tie, the winner will clinch a spot and the loser is eliminated from contention. The winner also has a chance to not only lock up a playoff spot but to also earn an AFC South title if the Jacksonville Jaguars lose to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Tune in for both of tonight’s games to see whether the Steelers can put themselves in good condition and which AFC South squad will punch their ticket to the playoffs.
