Last season, when the Packers relieved long-time head coach Mike McCarthy of his duties, we all knew that further wholesale changes to the coaching staff were inevitable. But that doesn’t change the shock, elation, or — in some cases — the bittersweet feelings that present themselves when push finally comes to shove.
Matt LaFleur, presumably with input from Brian Gutekunst and Mark Murphy (aka the Wonder Twins), has begun to assemble his staff in earnest. With that, the pod crew has assembled to discuss our feelings about long-time coaches relieved, the select few retained, and the new-to-us names added to the crew. Most notably, the Packers have hired former Jacksonville Jaguars OC Nathanial Hackett to fill their vacancy at non-play-calling offensive coordinator.
How do you feel about the Hackett hiring? What about the decision to move on from beloved OL coach James Campen, or respected defensive coach Joe Whitt Jr? Comment below and let us know what you think!
