New, comments

Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy seem like a bit of an Odd Couple, but could it work?

The Green Bay Packers (and us fans too) may have had the weekend off, but there is obviously much to discuss on today’s episode!

Firstly, after an exciting weekend of wildcard playoff games, it’s the Seattle Seahawks who have earned a trip to Lambeau Field for a divisional playoff contest. We’ll save our game preview chat for a second episode coming Friday morning, but we do touch on the Seahawks win over the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as a few notable nuggets from the other wildcards results.

And of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t spend some time talking about new Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy. After an interview and a sleep over, Big Mac has agreed to don the headset in Dallas. But will it work? We all know the type of steady program builder McCarthy is, but will his year of reflection and film crunching be enough for an offensive rennaisance à la Andy Reid in Kansas City?

As an aside, and to give Cowboys fans some homework this offseason, we’re putting out a request for your vote for McCarthy’s best and worst coaching games as the Packers signal-caller. Give us your picks in the comments below!
