It’s Underwear Olympics time. If you love prospects, tangibles, intangibles, and measurements (hand width, anyone?), then this is the time of year for you. Our fearless leader Evan “Tex” Western must feel like a kid in a candy shop as he patrols the grounds at the 2020 NFL Combine, which had its soft launch this Tuesday.

Most notably on the docket for Tuesday’s festivities was press availability for Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst — who each fielded about 15 minutes of questions from the media.

As the hubbub subsided for the evening and Tex debated the pros and cons of local watering holes adjacent to his hotel, he was kind enough to take some time to call into the podcast and give us the skinny.

On today’s episode, after hitting a few news headlines, we dive deep into Tex’s impressions of LaFleur and Gutekunst’s comments at the podium. What do they expect from Aaron Rodgers in year two of the LaFleur system? What do we make of Gute’s comments about Blake Martinez and the inside linebackers? It’s time to read some tea leaves!

And don’t forget: you can follow along with Tex all week long as he covers all the action at the combine. Follow the blog on twitter @AcmePackingCo for all the latest nuggets, as well as the occasional video chat via Periscope.
