APC Podcast, 9/16: Takeaways from Packers’ week one victory

We’re one game into the Packers’ 2020 campaign. What have we learned?

The empty seats and electronic crowd murmuring created an odd atmosphere at U.S. Bank Stadium, a typically raucous venue for the Minnesota Vikings. But eeriness aside, what we got on Sunday was — incredibly — real football. The Green Bay Packers announced themselves to the rest of the division with a convincing 43-34 victory over Kirk Cousins and a slightly out-of-sorts Vikings team.

On today’s Wednesday morning debrief episode, Evan “Tex” Western joins Zach Rapport to expound on our feelings coming out of week one, and what — if anything — we think we can take away from this game.

  • How will Lane Taylor’s season ending injury impact an already muddy picture on the right side of the offensive line?
  • Backs and ends and motion, oh my! What did this game tell us about what to expect in year two of the Matt LaFleur offense?
  • DVOA. HUH. What is it good for? * closes laptop *
  • We also open the mailbag and answer listener questions.
