For the second game in a row, the Green Bay Packers are hedging their bets with a somewhat banged-up quarterback. Just like two weeks ago when the Packers played the Detroit Lions, they are rolling with three active quarterbacks today for their Divisional Round game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Running back and kick returner DuJuan Harris will once again sit today to allow space on the roster for QB Scott Tolzien to join Matt Flynn and Aaron Rodgers. With Rodgers' calf still at risk of re-injury, it's clear that the Packers want extra insurance for today's game.
With Harris' deactivation and wideout Jeff Janis' continued presence on the inactive list, expect cornerback Micah Hyde and wide receiver Randall Cobb to once again be the primary kick returners for today's game.
Packers Inactives
LB Carl Bradford
DT Bruce Gaston
C Garth Gerhart
CB Demetri Goodson
RB DuJuan Harris
WR Jeff Janis
TE Justin Perillo
Also suiting up today is cornerback Davon House, who missed the last few games of the regular season with a shoulder injury. He should be helpful for both the secondary and special teams units today.
Here are the Cowboys' inactive players for the game:
Cowboys Inactives
LB James Anderson
DE Kenneth Boatright
T Doug Free
T Donald Hawkins
DT Terrell McClain
LB Keith Smith
QB Dustin Vaughan
It's no surprise that Free is inactive, as he missed the last few games of the season and was listed as doubtful this week. Jermey Parnell will start at right tackle instead. Middle linebacker Rolando McClain is active, however, and will start, as will defensive end Jeremy Mincey; both of them were listed as Questionable on Friday's injury report.
