As the Green Bay Packers took the field on Thursday for practice, the big questions were when would Aaron Rodgers practice and how much would he actually participate. After all, Mike McCarthy confirmed Thursday morning on SiriusXM that he would be working in the team portion. Even though Rodgers was nowhere to be seen while the media was allowed into practice, McCarthy said after the session was complete that he went through the team portion of practice.
Therefore, Rodgers is one of the five players designated as "Limited" in today's practice. Here's the full injury report for Thursday:
Limited Participation
DE Josh Boyd (knee)
CB Davon House (shoulder)
S Sean Richardson (knee)
QB Aaron Rodgers (calf)
G Josh Sitton (toe)
Full Participation
TE Brandon Bostick (Illness)
Thankfully, this also means that no players were held out of practice entirely. Here is a brief roundup on the news about Aaron Rodgers from his coach today following practice:
McCarthy: Aaron (Rodgers) practiced in the team periods. Looked good. Took probably 50-60% of the reps. #DALvsGB

McCarthy on whether Aaron Rodgers did in practice today what #Packers hoped: "Yes, he hit the target."

McCarthy believes Rodgers improved this season: "This year is the best football that I've seen him play."

If you want a teammate's assessment of Rodgers' performance in practice, look no further than one of the players who guards his receivers during the week:
#Packers CB Tramon Williams on Aaron Rodgers' practice: "He looked good, man. He made some great throws, as always."

Williams on ARod: "Didn't notice him out there until I saw one ball squeak through for TD. I was like, Oh, that's why it squeaked through."

That's a good sign, but then again, one of Rodgers' blockers seems to indicate that he didn't test his injured calf much in practice:
T.J. Lang on Rodgers: "He likes to get outside the pocket and make some plays. Be interested to see if he’ll be able to do that." #Packers
