The Green Bay Packers got some good news for their offensive line this morning, and they should have all five primary starters on the field. ESPN's Josina Anderson first broke the news that center Evan Dietrich-Smith is active for today's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
EDS' presence means that T.J. Lang can stay at right guard with Don Barclay at right tackle.
The full list of inactive players for the Packers is here:
RB Kahlil Bell
WR Chris Harper
T Marshall Newhouse
OLB Nate Palmer
QB Aaron Rodgers
DE C.J. Wilson
DE Jerel Worthy
Of course, Rodgers and Wilson were ruled out for the game back on Friday when the team released its final injury report. One minor shocker here is Newhouse - he certainly hasn't played well recently, and it appears that the Packers are prepared to put Derek Sherrod and/or Lane Taylor in the lineup in the event of an injury. Worthy probably sits because of the team's need for more pass rush, as opposed to stopping the run, Worthy's greater strength at this point.
As for the Atlanta Falcons' inactive players:
MLB Omar Gaither
G Harland Gunn
S Kemal Ishmael
T Terren Jones
T Sean Locklear
DT Travian Robertson
RB Josh Vaughan
To nobody's surprise, Tony Gonzalez will play despite being ruled questionable for the game on Friday. The Falcons' inactive list is pretty much limited to role players, so they should have their starting units pretty much intact save for players on Injured Reserve.
