Packers Training Camp Practice: Updates and Live Thread for August 18, 2014

The Packers resume practice on Monday of a short week.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The third week of the preseason and fourth full week of training camp begins today, as the Green Bay Packers will take the field at 12 noon central time today. Unfortunately, practice is not open to the public, as inclement weather is pushing the team inside the Don Hutson Center:

Still, we expect to see full media reports from today's session.

Following their 21-7 win over the St. Louis Rams on Saturday, the team is trending in the right direction in many areas, but saw significant struggles from the backup offensive line. Surely, the team will want to see better performances from Derek Sherrod, Aaron Adams, and the rest of the linemen.

The starters on offense, however, have little to prove at this point. Now the interesting competitions come down to the reserve receivers and linebackers, as Jayrone Elliott will likely look to improve on his three-sack game on Saturday. He and Adrian Hubbard remain at the bottom of the pack, but if they can build on Saturday's performances they could start to climb the depth chart.

One other player to note will be tight end Brandon Bostick, who left Saturday's game early with a leg injury. We'll have our eyes open for reports on his status as he looks to return from his injury as soon as possible.
