The Packers and Jets announced their inactive players for this afternoon's game. It appears that Packers tackle Bryan Bulaga had a setback in the team's Saturday practice, as he is listed among the seven inactives for the Packers this week.
Here's the full list, as announced on Packers.com:
Green Bay Packers
LB Carl Bradford
OT Bryan Bulaga
OLB Jayrone Elliott
CB Demetri Goodson
WR Jeff Janis
ILB Brad Jones
QB Scott Tolzien
With Bulaga out, Derek Sherrod will indeed get the start for the Packers. This also leaves guard Lane Taylor and center Garth Gerhart as the two active backup offensive linemen.
As expected, Jamari Lattimore is getting the start in place of Brad Jones. Lattimore's four starts a year ago give him an advantage over second-year player Sam Barrington, though Barrington may see some action on defense as well.
Scott Tolzien is inactive as well, which is no surprise as the Packers typically only keep two quarterbacks active on gameday. Other than those three players, the remainder are rookies who are healthy scratches for the Packers today.
Worth noting is that nose tackle Mike Pennel is active today. He will be expected to play a role on the defensive line, since the Jets have a strong rushing attack and will likely force the Packers to use more of their base 3-4 defense than some other teams.
New York Jets
NT T.J. Barnes
S Josh Bush
OL Dakota Dozier
LB A.J. Edds
LB Ikemefuna Enemkpali
OT Ben Ijalana
WR Walter Powell
As expected, Dee Milliner is active but will not start. This was to be expected, as Walls started last week as well. He is a fourth-year corner with five career starts and one interception in his career.
