The Panthers are up in the 2015 APC Mock Draft, and taking the role of GM for Carolina is our Aron Yohannes. Though a playoff team in 2014, Carolina finished below .500 and has numerous holes to fill, especially at running back and in the secondary.
Aron chose to address one of those holes with the 25th pick in the mock, selecting...
Kevin Johnson, cornerback, Wake Forest
Weight: 188 pounds
Combine 40 time: 4.52 seconds
Here's Aron on his pick:
Todd Gurley going off the board to Detroit makes this pick logically Melvin Gordon, but I'd rather take one of the top cover corners in the draft, especially since his position isn't loaded in this year's draft. Carolina will love to add another young defensive back to their secondary, and Johnson's aggressiveness, quickness and feet make him an option the Panthers have to select with the position running short. They can still grab a starter for their backfield in the second round.
