NFL Mock Draft 2015: Cowboys select cornerback P.J. Williams

With their season ending at the hands of Aaron Rodgers and company, Dallas looks to bolster their secondary in 2015.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Sitting with the 27th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft are the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas, whose offense was one of the best in the NFL last year, lost running back DeMarco Murray to free agency, as he defected to the Philadelphia Eagles. The defense is the weak link in Dallas, however, especially at cornerback where Morris Claiborne has been a complete bust and Orlando Scandrick is only truly effective in the slot.

So what is there to do for the Cowboys? Unfortunately for Dallas, in our mock draft the top two running backs are off the boards with Todd Gurley going to Detroit and Melvin Gordon ending up in Baltimore (both within the last five picks). Therefore, Dallas is better off waiting until day two for a running back.

Corners are more prevalent in the first round this year, and though the top three are gone already (Trae Waynes, Marcus Peters, and Kevin Johnson), there are several options for the Cowboys here.

Channeling his inner Jerry Jones, APC's Kris Burke makes the pick for the Cowboys at number 27 and has selected...
