2015 NFL Mock Draft: Rams bolster offensive line at #10 with La'el Collins

With the top two wideouts gone, St. Louis addresses the offensive front instead.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The St. Louis Rams have built up a formidable defensive front over the past few years, adding last year's top pick Aaron Donald to a group of first-round picks that includes Michael Brockers, Robert Quinn, and Chris Long. This year, they added former Lion Nick Fairley into the mix as well.

With all that said, it seems like the defensive front is finally more or less under control, and the Rams can focus on improving the offense with Nick Foles under center. With holes at numerous positions, St. Louis can afford to snag whichever offensive player is at the top of their board.

Ryan Bissell is on the pick for the Rams in our mock, and with the 10th pick, the St. Louis Rams select...

La'el Collins, offensive tackle, LSU

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 305 pounds
Combine bench press: 21 reps

Here's Ryan with the explanation:

Tough break for St. Louis, as I was set on Kevin White before Brendan decided to pair him with Odell Beckham Jr. DeVante Parker was an option here but I think the Rams will choose to address the offensive line if White and Amari Cooper aren't available with the 10th pick. The Rams have multiple needs along the offensive line following the departures of Jake Long and Scott Wells. Collins is a versatile player that could step in immediately at guard or tackle. This might be a little early for Collins but he’s a safe pick who can fill a glaring need right away. The Rams will look to upgrade at receiver in the coming rounds.
