The Green Bay Packers have submitted the card for their fourth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, number 129 overall. With that selection, Ted Thompson has selected...
Jake Ryan, Linebacker, Michigan
Ryan played several different linebacker positions for the Wolverines, and was a productive college player. Ryan measures in at 6 feet 2 inches and 240 pounds, and has solid athleticism, running a 4.65-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine. Ryan also recorded a time of 7.11 seconds in the 3-cone drill and 4.20 seconds in the short shuttle, which put him in the top half of linebackers at the Combine.
In his four years at Michigan, Ryan was a tackles-for-loss machine, recording 45.5 of them over his career. He also posted 9.5 sacks as well as one interception and seven forced fumbles.
A concern for Ryan is the ACL injury that he suffered in spring practice before the 2013 season. Ryan did come back fully healthy in 2014, however, and racked up 112 total tackles, 14 TFLs, and his lone interception while playing middle linebacker in Michigan's 4-3 defense.
According to the Packers, Ryan will continue to wear the number 47 he wore in college:
