The second of three picks for the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round has been submitted. With that choice, the Packers have elected to draft:

Christian Ringo, defensive end, Louisiana-Lafayette

Ringo, who measured in at at 6 feet 1 inch and 293 pounds at his pro day, was a productive member of the defensive line for the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisana-Lafayette.

His sophomore year was successful as well, with another 7 sacks and 10.5 TFLs. Ringo worked through a series of injuries in 2013, but rebounded nicely in his senior season. In 2014, he recorded 11.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss in thirteen games. According to ULL, those TFL numbers ranked seventh in the country in 2014, and he was 12th in the country in sacks. Ringo also recovered two fumbles as a senior.

Ringo comes from a defense that primarily runs a 4-3 scheme, but seems to be a candidate to back up Mike Daniels at the 3-technique position in Green Bay.
