After several days of practice — which is really the part of the week that the scouts pay attention to — we’re finally ready for the 2017 Senior Bowl. The year’s top game featuring college football’s All-Stars kicks off this afternoon from Mobile with players from all across the country and across several different levels of the NCAA participating.
Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson has been in Mobile all week, as he scouts and talks to players. This year’s draft class appears to be strong in a couple of areas of need for the Packers, particularly pass-rushers and cornerbacks.
Wisconsin Badgers fans can find reasons to watch today as well, since two players from this year’s squad are representing the university. Running back Corey Clement has been one of the more impressive players at his position this week, and was receiving rave reviews about his pass-blocking. Joining him on the North team is outside linebacker Vince Biegel, who could end up as a day-two draft pick in April.
