Good thing there are plenty of Chipotle restaurants in the Chicago area.
The Chicago Bears' enigmatic draft continued as they selected tight end Adam Shaheen from Ashland University with the 45th overall pick.
Shaheen of course is known for bulking up for NFL teams by utilizing a diet consisting mostly of burritos from Chipotle. He went from a 195 pound high school player to a 277 pound tight end that's now an NFL player.
As for what he brings to the Bears besides flour tortillas and cilantro-lime rice, Shaheen is able to use his size to be a very good pass catcher. He won't wow anyone with his run blocking skills (or lack thereof), but his size, strength and power will be enough to make him a bit of a nightmare. He won't be a downfield threat like some tight ends are (Hi, Martellus Bennett) but he has all the traits you are looking for when you want to add versatility to your passing game.
Just don't count on him for pass protection. This could pay off for the Bears but given they still have needs on defense this is a bit of a head scratcher.
Then again, it's the Bears.
