When the Green Bay Packers make their first selection in round one of the 2019 NFL Draft, there is a very good chance that the player they select will be in attendance for the event. This year’s draft will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, and there will be 23 of the year’s top prospects in town for the draft’s first day on Thursday, April 25th.
The defensive front seven is well-represented in this group of players, with four edge rushers, three interior linemen, and two off-ball linebackers all scheduled to be present. Meanwhile, just two defensive backs — both corners — will show up.
Interestingly, only three of the top four quarterbacks will be in Nashville. The one who will not be there is Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, which is surprising as he is still widely expected to be one of the first two QBs and one of the first ten players overall off the board.
Last year, the Packers selected Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander with their first-round pick, drafting him 18th overall. Alexander was in attendance at last year’s draft in Arlington, Texas.
Here is the full list of players as announced by the NFL on Tuesday evening.
