For the third year in a row, Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst has traded up in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. They moved up to select...a quarterback, Utah State’s Jordan Love.

Love, a 6-foot-4, 224-pound signal-caller, had a massively disappointing junior season in 2019 after a stellar 2018. His interceptions ballooned from six to 17, while his touchdown passes dropped from 32 to 20. Meanwhile, his yards per attempt plummeted from 8.6 to 7.2.

Love possesses exceptional arm talent, but that change in decision-making will be criticized and scrutinized for years to come.
