For a first attempt, the 2021 Acme Packing Community Mock Draft was largely successful, and we at APC thank all who participated in the mock over the past several weeks. From Trevor Lawrence to Jayson Oweh, all of you helped us compile a full mock based on your opinions and votes.

After going quarterback with each of the first three selections, APC readers threw the first potential curveball at pick number four, going with Florida tight end Kyle Pitts instead of a quarterback like Trey Lance or Mac Jones. That set up the Dolphins to take Ja’Marr Chase at 6 and allowed Lance to fall to the Denver Broncos at 9 and Mac Jones to last until the Patriots stopped his fall at 15.

For the Packers, a run of cornerbacks and receivers in the 20s took many of the top options at those positions off the board. That left lower-tier players like receivers Elijah Moore and Terrace Marshall, linebacker Zaven Collins, and tackle Samuel Cosmi as our top options. From that selection, our readers selected Collins as the pick, giving the Packers an intriguing chess piece for the second level of the defense.

Here’s a complete look at how the mock draft went:

Thanks to everyone for participating with your votes both on APC and on Twitter, as well as your comments. And we on staff want to give a special thanks and shout-out to Peter Voight for running the community mock over these past three-plus weeks.

Surely the first round will go very differently on Thursday than it did here, but it was entertaining to see what the community expected would happen at various draft slots, and we’ll do this again this time next year!
