The Packers have selected running back Kylin Hill with their final pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The 5-foot-11, 210 pound Hill appeared in 40 games over four seasons at Mississippi State, carrying the ball 452 times for 2,535 yards and 16 touchdowns, adding 67 catches for 631 yards and another six touchdowns. His best season was 2019, where he piled up 1,352 yards on 242 carries, scoring 10 touchdowns.

Hill played just three games in 2020; he was suspended for one game and opted out of the remainder of the 2020 season in November.

A good but not great athlete, Hill’s Relative Athletic Score is just 7.31, dragged down a bit by a 40-yard dash of just 4.52 seconds. He also didn’t test well on the agility-focused aspects of his athletic testing, posting a 7.2-second time in the three-cone drill.

Described as a “tough, angry runner” by The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, Hill looks like he may have opportunities to scrap for playing time behind Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon. If he can contribute in the passing game like he did for Mississippi State, it will only bolster his chances.
