From Thursday through Saturday, the 2021 NFL Draft captured the attention of the North American sports world. The annual three-day event found the Green Bay Packers in a firestorm of controversy, with reports breaking on Thursday afternoon that Aaron Rodgers no longer wants to play for the organization.
However, the fact remains that the Packers made nine draft picks over the weekend, and those nine players now have tremendous opportunities ahead of them. Green Bay traded up once within the draft, giving up the 92nd and 135th picks to acquire the the 85th selection. It was a relatively quiet year on the trade front for the Packers, but that move ensured that general manager Brian Gutekunst has now traded up at least once in the draft in every year on the job.
Many of these players will be penciled in for critical roles early in their Packers careers. Others are lottery tickets, as the team hopes to get quality depth or special teams contributions. But all of these players can have one thing in common for the rest of their lives: they were drafted by the Green Bay Packers.
Here is the full draft class, with links to the posts about each pick contained within.
UPDATE: The Packers issued all of their draft picks their jersey numbers by mid-day Monday. See below for the players’ numbers:
