The Green Bay Packers have a new general manager, and his general attitude toward the media appears to be very different from that of his predecessor. On Wednesday, Packers fans will get to see him speak for the first time since assuming the job.
New GM Brian Gutekunst will be in attendance at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week, and his press conference for the week has been scheduled out. He will speak at 11:00 AM Eastern Time at the Indiana Convention Center, and APC will be in attendance to cover the presser.
Of course, the Combine was one of the few times each year that Gutekunst’s predecessor, Ted Thompson, would speak publicly. At his introductory press conference in January, however, Gutekunst said that he expects to be more visible and to take more questions than Thompson did.
Joining Gutekunst on the schedule is Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, who will also speak to the media on Wednesday. His presser is scheduled for 2:00 PM Eastern.
The Combine officially begins on Tuesday, with the first batch of players arriving for the event. Player availability will start on Thursday. Click here for the full schedule for the week.
