Packers-Buccaneers Injury Report: Adams & Clark ‘ready to go,’ Tyler Ervin ruled out

The Green Bay Packers will have a few critical players back this week as they head to Florida to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Prior to the release of the team’s injury report on Friday afternoon, head coach Matt LaFleur revealed that wide receiver Davante Adams and nose tackle Kenny Clark are “ready to go” for Sunday’s game. Clark spoke a few minutes later, adding “I feel great.” A bit like Adams, who tweeted some displeasure about being held out of the game against Atlanta two weeks ago, Clark said that he felt ready to play in that game but said it “wasn’t under my control.”

Having these two players back should be a big boost for the Packers on both sides of the football, as each is a critical piece of the personnel puzzle on his respective unit. However, one area where the Packers will be shorthanded is on special teams, as primary return man Tyler Ervin is out for the game with a wrist injury. LaFleur said that the return duties will fall to some combination of three players: cornerback Josh Jackson and wide receivers Darrius Shepherd and Malik Taylor.

Besides Ervin, the only other Packers players with injury statuses are all listed as questionable. There are four players with that status: outside linebackers Rashan Gary (ankle) and Za’Darius Smith (ankle), cornerback Kevin King (quad), and defensive tackle Montravius Adams (neck).

The Buccaneers are missing one notable player for Sunday, however, with a few key players listed as questionable. Tampa Bay lost nose tackle Vita Vea for the season last week, and he is now on injured reserve. Of the players still on their roster, three are listed as questionable: cornerback Carlton Davis, defensive lineman Khalil Davis, and running back Leonard Fournette. All practiced on a limited bases on Friday, however.

Here’s the Packers’ full injury report for this week’s game:
