Packers Training Camp 2015: Practice updates and live blog for 8/25

This afternoon, the Packers take to the practice field for the first time since Nelson's injury.

Monday sucked. Let's just get that out of the way. We got confirmation that Jordy Nelson's knee injury will make him miss the entire 2015 season. However, life goes on, and so does training camp for the Green Bay Packers.

Today, the team will take their first step in moving on from Nelson's injury as they take the field for an open practice session at Ray Nitschke Field. The team is scheduled to hit the field at 12:30 PM local time.

We'll be keeping a close eye out for reports about who is taking first-team reps at wide receiver opposite Randall Cobb and Davante Adams. The smart money is on Jeff Janis or Ty Montgomery, with Janis being the more prototypical outside receiver and Montgomery being more of a versatile slot player.

Besides Nelson's injury, a few other Packers still are worth monitoring. Mike Daniels has missed the last two weeks or so of practice, and can hopefully return soon. Clay Matthews, who missed a full week early in camp, has practiced but been held out of game action the past two weeks. His status will be monitored as well.

Finally, on the positive side, the trio of rookie cornerbacks (Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins, and LaDarius Gunter) all have impressed in game action so far. Keep an eye on them today as well.

Follow along with practice below, and keep the comments coming.
