On Wednesday at 11:45 AM, the Green Bay Packers will take the field for their second and final open practice of the week and their second-to-last open session of training camp. The team will likely be working in pads today after a light practice in shells on Tuesday.
In addition to Jordy Nelson's high-profile injury, the Packers had a few additional players sitting out yesterday due to injuries suffered on Sunday against Pittsburgh. Scott Tolzien and T.J. Lang are working their way through the league's concussion protocol, while Josh Sitton sat with an ankle issue. Datone Jones also was unavailable after aggravating a knee on Sunday.
The good news from Tuesday is that several injured Packers returned to the field, even if it was only a shells practice. Clay Matthews and Mike Daniels were both back and participating fully in all drills. Also returning to the field was cornerback Demetri Goodson. While wide receiver Jared Abbrederis did not return to practice, he was spotted on the sideline watching drills, a first since his concussion on the first day of camp.
Follow along with practice below, and keep the comments coming.
