As the Green Bay Packers inch closer and closer to the start of the 2018 regular season, open practices become fewer and farther between. Indeed, with two preseason games left to play, today marks the second-to-last open practice of camp.
The team will likely be getting ready for Friday’s preseason game in Oakland with a closed practice over the next day or two, then they have a short week before next week’s finale against the Kansas City Chiefs. With that short week in mind, the team will hold just a single open practice, on Monday August 27th. In other words, if you want to get your eyes on the team working on the practice field, your opportunities are almost gone.
As for the product on the field, the Packers had a few injured players sit out practice on Monday this week, including the three players who were hurt in last Thursday’s win over the Steelers. That group consists of running back Jamaal Williams, right guard Justin McCray, and wide receiver Jake Kumerow. Stay tuned to see if any of them will be able to practice on Tuesday.
Follow along with practice and discuss in the comments below.
