A week ago, coming off a home game in their preseason opener the previous Thursday, the Green Bay Packers held training camp practices on Saturday and Sunday, with an off day before a third practice on Tuesday. This week, with the team headed back from a Thursday night game in Baltimore, they stayed off the field Saturday and will work on three straight days from Sunday to Tuesday.
That all comes in preparation for the team’s third preseason game, which comes again on Thursday night. That game will be in Winnipeg against the Oakland Raiders, however, but the team will again have their travel day on Wednesday. This week marks the team’s final open practices of camp however, as Matt LaFleur will close everything down to the public’s eyes starting with Tuesday’s session.
The final two public practices come today and Monday, both beginning at 1:30 PM Central. They are the only two sessions not to begin at 10:15 in the morning for all of camp, but by closing things down it is a sign that the team is bringing everything in-house to prep for the start of the regular season.
So with the penultimate open practice upon us, please follow along here as we hope to learn about what the team will do against Oakland on Thursday.
