The Packers bring the open portion of training camp to a close today.

Today is a bittersweet day for Green Bay Packers fans; while it brings the team one step closer to the start of real football and there is another open training camp practice, today’s session is the final practice open to fans this summer.

It has been entertaining following Matt LaFleur’s first training camp as the Packers’ head coach, but after today everything moves indoors as the team puts its finishing touches on camp for the last week and a half. There are practices scheduled for Tuesday and for a few days next week, but all will be held inside the Don Hutson Center as the team makes its final determinations on roster spots and playing time for the last two preseason games.

In Sunday’s practice, the Packers got a few players back on the field, as Trevor Davis returned to practice and Jamaal Williams began running again after his hamstring injury. David returns to a highly competitive receiver group, which has seen Darrius Shepherd and Allen Lazard impress significantly in Davis’ absence. The same cannot be said for the running backs, however, as Williams likely returns as the de facto number two behind Aaron Jones.

Tune in for the team’s final public practice of the year here, as the team gets underway at 1:30 PM.
