Although the Green Bay Packers held a practice session on Monday of this week, it took place inside the Don Hutson Center and out of the view of fans. Tuesday, however, will see the team head back out onto Ray Nitschke Field for a public practice, the first of two this week before the team hosts the Houston Texans in Saturday’s preseason opener.
Monday’s practice session saw a number of players sit out with the rehab group, including starters like Aaron Jones (hamstring), Rashan Gary (groin), and Kenny Clark (groin). Clark might be the biggest blow if he has any long-term issues, given the team’s general lack of depth on the defensive line, but it is disappointing to see all three of those key players sitting out with soft tissue injuries.
Hopefully Monday was just a rest day for these players and they will be back on the practice field today when the session starts at 10:10 AM Central. Follow along here throughout practice then keep it at APC for our practice notebook this afternoon.
