On Monday night, new Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman had a day for the ages against the New York Giants - he threw 20 completions on 53 attempts for 190 yards and one ugly interception. He also had countless throws that sailed over the heads of his receivers. Naturally, when it looked like Freeman would get the start on Sunday against Green Bay, Packers fans were excited about the possibility of the secondary racking up some turnovers.
Well, Freeman is suddenly unlikely to plan on Sunday, leaving the job to Christian Ponder. Vikings' head coach Leslie Frazier said why during his press conference today:
Coach Frazier just announced that Josh Freeman has a concussion. If he can't play on Sunday, Ponder will start. pic.twitter.com/j47Y1ONkl4

If you watched the game against the Giants, first let me applaud you for loving football enough to watch one of the worst games in recent memory before I steal your thunder by making the "did Freeman get his concussion before the game?" joke.
A concern for this game is that the Packers traditionally do not play well in the Metrodome, and Ponder had the best game of his career there in week 17 last season against Green Bay. Hopefully if he does get the start, Ponder will play like the Ponder of 2013 (65.9 passer rating) and not the one from the last regular season game of last season (120.2 passer rating).
