Oh joy. The top starting safety for the Green Bay Packers, Morgan Burnett, has been shut down for a second straight week. Burnett is on the inactive list for today's game, and he is joined by a few new players from last week, including fellow defensive back Jarrett Bush.
Here's the full list of inactives for the Packers:
CB Jarrett Bush
CB Casey Hayward
S Morgan Burnett
OLB Nate Palmer
G Lane Taylor
DE Josh Boyd
DE C.J. Wilson
With Burnett out, Jerron McMillian and M.D. Jennings will again get the starts, and it seems likely that we will see more of Chris Banjo this week. Bush's absence will likely mean that Davon House will play more this week in the dime package, and that Tramon Williams will slide to the inside in those packages. Inactivating Boyd and Wilson all but ensures that Johnny Jolly will start for a second straight week and that Datone Jones will get some substantial snaps with the nickel package.
The Redskins inactives are:
K Kai Forbath
QB Rex Grossman
RB Evan Royster
S Jordan Pugh
S Jose Gumbs
G Josh LeRibeus
DT Chris Neild
Keep it here for the game today as we will open the game thread a few minutes before kickoff.
