<p>Good news, everyone! It looks like every key Packer who we were worried about this week expects to play on Saturday night!</p> <p>Friday's practice came and went for the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/">Green Bay Packers</a> in anticipation of the Wild-Card game at Lambeau Field, and along with it comes the official game statuses for the players who've been affected by injuries this week. Finally, I have a lot of good news to share. Just take a look at the table below to see what I mean:</p>
<p>
</p>
<table cellspacing="3" cellpadding="3" border="0"><tbody>
<tr>
<td><b>Player</b></td>
<td><b>Injury</b></td>
<td><b>Friday Practice Status</b></td>
<td><b>Game Status</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Randall Cobb</span></td>

</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Jermichael Finley</span></td>

<p>Guys, the Packers' receiving weapons are ready to go. Having all five key receiving options (Cobb, Finley, and Nelson to go along with <span>James Jones</span> and <span>Greg Jennings</span>) will be sure to give the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.dailynorseman.com/">Vikings</a>' defense matchup problems. One thing I'm really looking forward to is that even if <span>Antoine Winfield</span> plays, he won't be able to key on a single Packers' slot receiver, since both Cobb and Jennings excel in that role.</p>
<p>Tramon Williams also looks to have bounced back from his flu symptoms and practiced some today. Unless he has another setback, I imagine that he'll be back and ready to go 100% tomorrow night. Another possibility that hadn't seemed relevant to me until now is that James Starks may even be available this week, which could give the Packers four (four!) options at running back.</p>
<p>On the other side, here is the Vikings' injury report, which features the aforementioned Winfield:</p>
<p>
</p>
<table cellspacing="3" cellpadding="3" border="0"><tbody>
<tr>
<td><b>Player</b></td>
<td><b>Injury</b></td>
<td><b>Friday Practice Status</b></td>
<td><b>Game Status</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Jared Allen</span></td>
<td>Shoulder</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>A.J. Jefferson</span></td>
<td>Ankle</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>George Johnson</span></td>
<td>Quad</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Chris Kluwe</span></td>
<td>Knee</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Phil Loadholt</span></td>
<td>Knee</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Adrian Peterson</span></td>
<td>Abdomen</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Brian Robison</span></td>
<td>Shoulder</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Harrison Smith</td>
<td>Knee</td>
<td>Full</td>
<td>Probable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Christian Ponder</span></td>
<td>Elbow</td>
<td>Limited</td>
<td>Questionable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Antoine Winfield</td>
<td>Hand</td>
<td>Limited</td>
<td>Questionable</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span>Tyrone McKenzie</span></td>
<td>Shoulder</td>
<td>Did not practice</td>
<td>Out</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<p>Half of this list shouldn't even be there, because Allen, Jefferson, Johnson, Kluwe, and Loadholt practiced fully all week. What's interesting (along with Winfield's status) is that Ponder is listed as questionable. We'll see tomorrow if that elbow injury is serious or if the Vikings were just keeping Ponder on a "pitch count" in practice this week.</p>
<p>We'll post the inactives tomorrow afternoon as soon as we hear them.</p>

<p>The Packers are getting healthier each day, though one key defender sat out Thursday's practice.</p> <p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/">Packers</a> got some more positive signs in practice on Thursday, as some key players were back practicing at full strength in preparation for the team's playoff game against the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.dailynorseman.com/">Minnesota Vikings</a> on Saturday night. In his press conference, coach Mike McCarthy commented that wideouts <span>Randall Cobb</span> and <span>Jordy Nelson</span> pushed hard in practice and participated in all drills. <span>Jermichael Finley</span>, who was limited on Wednesday, was not even mentioned, and appears to be full-go for Saturday.</p>
<p>Here's the full rundown of the injury report:</p>
<p>

<p>The one worrisome person on this report is Williams, who showed up sick according to McCarthy. The coach said he was given medication and sent home for the day. Hopefully with another 48+ hours until kickoff, Williams will be recovered in time for the game. If he is not, that would likely throw a new wrinkle into the way Charles Woodson would be used on defense.</p>

<p>There are no surprises on the Packers injury report. but the news about Jerel Worthy was still a bit of a downer.</p> <p>Some good news and bad news, all of it expected, came out today with the release of the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/">Green Bay Packers</a>' first injury report of the week. <span>Charles Woodson</span> and <span>Alex Green</span>, who have both been out recently, participated fully in practice and look set to play on Saturday agains the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.dailynorseman.com/">Minnesota Vikings</a>. The bad news is that <span>Jerel Worthy</span> has already been determined to be out not only for this week, <a href="http://www.packersnews.com/article/20130102/PKR0101/130102032?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter" target="_blank">but for the rest of the season</a>.</p>
<p><span>Jarrett Boykin</span> was the only player other than Worthy who did not participate in practice at all on Wednesday. All of <span>Randall Cobb</span>, <span>Jermichael Finley</span>, <span>Davon House</span>, <span>Jordy Nelson</span> and James Starks were limited.</p>
<p>At this point, it's too early to speculate about those players. I though it would be stunning to everyone if Cobb and Finley did not play. Things are a bit more iffy for Jordy Nelson, <a href="http://sulia.com/channel/green-bay-packers/f/7a5ab59f-c56d-49c0-8d0b-0cb78b51c63a/?source=twitter" target="_blank">but he told Jason Wilde that he plans on playing</a>.</p>
<p>As for the Vikings, things aren't looking as good. <span>Adrian Peterson</span> didn't participate in practice, though there's no question that he will play. There are questions about <span>Tyrone McKenzie</span> and <span>Antoine Winfield</span>, however. <span>Christian Ponder</span> was limited, but will certainly start. <span>Brian Robison</span> and Harrison Smith were also limited, and would be massive losses for the Vikings if they can't play their normal snaps.</p>
