There are no surprises in the Green Bay Packers' inactive list, though most fans hoped to see Alex Green play this weekend. He isn't all the way back from a concussion and the team is understandably being extra cautious with him. Don Barclay, who is sick, apparently got healthy enough overnight to play. With T.J. Lang back and Jeff Saturday set to sit for strategic reasons, the team did not need to play Barclay if he was not healthy, so I'm assuming that they aren't pushing him out too soon.
Here's the complete list:
RB Alex Green
WR Jordy Nelson
TE Tom Crabtree
DB Charles Woodson
RB James Starks
DL Jerel Worthy
DL C.J. Wilson
With Green and Starks out, Ryan Grant will start at running back while DuJuan Harris is likely to get quite a few carries today. Here are the Titans inactives.
#Titans inactives: QB R. Smith, WR K. Wright, CB R. Mouton, LB C. McCarthy, C K. Matthews, T M. Otto, DE S. Solomon— Tennessee Titans (@tennesseetitans) December 23, 2012
The big loss there is inside linebacker Colin McCarthy. Not to hate on Tim Shaw, but he simply isn't as good as the guy who starts ahead of him. Kendall Wright has had a solid rookie season, and is also a big loss for Tennessee.
